The hands of golfing greats have shaped and moulded the links at the Rosapenna. In 1891, Old Tom Morris of St. Andrews, staked-out the first Rosapenna links, incorporating wide rolling fairways amidst the undulating terrain and, of course, those delightful greens. Amongst those to follow were two other great champions Harry Vardon and James Braid. They added length and more detailed bunkering but were wise enough to leave those wonderful natural greens. So good was their design that the links today still provide a demanding challenge for golfers of all standards. A century later a second links in the dunes overlooking the Old Tom Morris masterpiece was created. Mountain, ocean, sky and dunes have been commingled in a blaze of hues and tones to present a stunning living canvass and a true golfing experience. Thus, as golf enters its third century at Rosapenna, golfers from around the world are set for an unparalelled opportunity to enjoy links golf at its best.
